Their quality and performance make them a great choice for both beginners and experienced fishers alike. Get ready to enhance your fishing experience with Waterloo!

Fishing Reels

For all my fellow anglers, I highly recommend the Concept or Shimano fishing reels for open face fishing. For spin cast options, the Pflueger spinning reels are an excellent choice. Both brands deliver quality and performance, ensuring a great fishing experience every time you hit the water. Happy fishing!

Wade Belt / Boots

We recommend wade boots and a wading belt to all of our anglers who prefer to wade. These essential accessories provide the support and safety you need while exploring the water. With the right gear, you can enhance fishing experience and stay comfortable throughout your adventures. Gear up and enjoy your time on the water!

Lures/Line

On the Texas coast, anglers often use a range of lures like tails, ukes, gulps, topwaters, and corkies in various shapes and sizes. These lures imitate the natural prey, making them essential for successful fishing. Whether you're experienced or a beginner, trying out these options can enhance your fishing experience.

Use a line that matches the pound-test of your rod and reel. For example, a 12-pound test line is suitable for a 12-pound rod. Ensure the line is strong enough to handle the weight of the fish you plan to catch.
